Obituary for Ryan Raymond

Ryan Raymond, age 50 of Langley, Washington, passed peacefully from his battle with ALS, on May 26, 2018. He was surrounded by his family in his home.
Ryan was born in Fort Belvoir, Virginia, on November 27, 1967 to Ronald and Marilyn (Morrow) Raymond. At the age of 10, Ryan moved from Malibu, California to Kent, Washington, where he attended Kentwood High School. He moved to Whidbey Island in 1995. Ryan always loved playing in the dirt with his Tonka toys. He followed his earth moving passion and started his own business, Ryan’s Excavating. He was well known and respected in the community for his excavating services. He loved and blessed his family, friends, and the community he worked for, with his calm, easy going, compassionate, caring nature and loveable sense of humor.
Ryan was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Raymond in 1984, who died of ALS. He is survived by his wife Denise of Langley, two daughters, Michelle and Stephanie and his two granddaughters Holly (5), and Kaydence (8 months). He is also survived by his mother Marilyn and stepfather Duane of Kent and brother Steve and nephew Ronald of Federal Way; also numerous other relatives and friends.
Memorial donations may be made in his name at Raymond Family ALS Fundraiser through Peoples Bank or Facebook. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, August 18, 2018, 1-4 PM at Calvary Chapel of Whidbey Island, 3821 French Road, Clinton.
