The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Christopher Bartholomew can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Theresa, I know no particulars or history about “Christopher” but that’s not relevant, you and your family have lost a huge part of your lives. It will continually be hard and never easy yet he’s going to want you to move on but to never be forgotten. To lose a child is something I have never experienced but can only imagine.
You cannot prepare for your loss of a loved one, especially one that we ourselves have raised. We try to prepare them for the simplest to complex heartfelt obstacles in life but we refuse to imagine that the vilest will ever happen to us. The Lord has a plan, one that doesn't coincide with our dreams. Be strong but never be afraid to weep and weep often fore that is healing.
To remember ones first steps in life, to go on a date in your dad’s car; each chapter in life leads each one of us down our personal walks and set’s our pace of whom we’ll become. Share memories often and forever. Laugh about the fun times shared, the awkward times that we'd normally hide. Be proud as always of his silliest times and applaud his giant and triumphant journeys through life.
My blessings are with you and your families so please know that my heart felt sadness is shared with you all. God bless you my friend’s!

Condolence: God's Loan

"I'll lend to you for a little time,
A child of mine," He said,
"For you to love the while she lives
And mourn for when she's dead.

"It may be six or seven years
Or twenty-two or three,
But will you till I call her back,
Take care of her for me?

"She'll bring her charms to gladden you
And should her stay be brief,
You'll have these precious memories
As solace for your grief.

"I cannot promise she will stay
Since all from earth return.
But there are lessons taught down there
I want this child to learn.

"I've looked this world over,
In my search for teachers true.
In the crowds that throng life's land,
I have selected you.

"Now will you give her all your love
Not think the labour vain,
Nor hate me when I come to call
To take her back again?"

It seems to me I heard them say,
"Dear Lord, thy will be done.
For all the joys a child shall bring,
The risk of grief we'll run.

"We'll shelter her with tenderness,
We'll love her while we may,
And for the happiness we've known
Forever grateful stay.

"And should the angels call for him
Much sooner than we've planned,
We'll brave the bitter grief that comes
And try to understand."

Condolence: My heart is heavy and cries in your loss. I hope your memories may sustain you and perhaps give some reason to smile. Although at this time it must be near impossible. Just be assured there are many thinking of you and yours. Please be strengthened by our love.
