We were so blessed to move next door to the Best Neighbors in the World! Bob and Dee Dee shared their warm, helpfulness and friendship from the very first day we met in 1980. We saved all their kind notes and cards in my "Best Neighbor" box; which I re-read from time to time. There was always a message of encouragement, inspiration and wisdom that lifted our hearts then and now. We were often surprised by a thoughtful gift of delicious soup, or a beautiful fragrant candle or a call checking to see how we were doing.
When my husband, Gary was very ill, Bob came to pray with him. Bob's sincerity and faith helped Gary share with Bob his deepest thoughts and worries giving him immense comfort. When Gary passed away and I was alone not sure how I would manage, Dee Dee and Bob brought me a beutiful book of prayers and hope, a memorial cross and candles that I still burn on special days.
I felt such a sense of safety knowing my neighbors, Bob and Dee Dee were next door if I needed them. Just one example was when I ran my tractor into my barn's water pipe, breaking it so water was gushing all over, Bob came to the rescue!!! I know Bob and Dee Dee are rejoicing being together now and hope Gary will be able to have them as neighbors in heaven!
