Lori Ann Ingersoll (Lauren Marie Kali), of Coupeville, WA, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 25, 2017.
Lori was born in Monterey, CA on August 23, 1959 to Rena and Mike Ingersoll. She grew up in Georgia, Germany, Rhode Island, Iowa, and Maryland, and graduated from Seneca Valley High School in Germantown, Maryland. She traveled widely during her life, residing later in Colorado, Maryland, and most recently in Coupeville. Lori attended Montgomery College, in Maryland, earned her AA degree from Edmonds Community College, in Washington, and continued her studies at Eastern Washington University in Child Development.
For the past three years Lori was Payroll and Benefits Specialist at Oak Harbor School District. She also held positions as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station, Activity Director at Summer Hill Retirement and Assisted Living in Oak Harbor, Executive Assistant at NeighborCare at Home in Maryland, and co-owner of an administrative services company with her mother, Rena.
Lori found happiness through a variety of interests, including acting, photography, traveling, painting, collecting shells, rocks and driftwood with Erin, decorating her home, writing screenplays, creating jewelry, spiritual practice and metaphysical studies, spending time with family and loved ones, and her faith in God.
Lori’s most important role in life, however, was motherhood. Her devotion to daughter Erin was evident in everything she did. Being Erin’s mother was a lifelong dream for Lori, bringing her joy every day and filling her life with love.
Lori touched the hearts of so many in her life. She had a shining light in her eyes and a sweet, musical laugh. She had a kindness of heart, purity of spirit, and generosity of soul. She worked hard in her life, with great persistence, to follow her dreams and find joy. Her charitableness and selflessness made this world a better place. She will be missed . . . every day, far and wide.
Lori was preceded in death by her father Mike Ingersoll and her grandparents Stewart and Maxine Wight and Admiral Stewart H. and Josephine Ingersoll.
Lori is survived by her parents Rena and Jim Edelen, her brother and sister-in-law David and Stormy Ingersoll, her sister Alyssa Ingersoll, her brother Robert Ingersoll, her nieces and nephews Cher and Derek, Marshall, Amelia, Connor, and Crystal, her uncles, Joel, Dean and Greg Wight, her dear aunts, cousins, and great nephews, her husband, then friend, Tom Edgar, and her beloved daughter Erin Marie.
Services to be held on Sunday, July 23rd,from 1-4 at the Admiral Cove Beach Club.
