May 23rd, at 7:30 pm, Joe Fackler quietly passed away at home with his

loving wife and life companion of 23 years, Robin Raney,

along with a few of his many friends at his side.

Joe, an Air Force Veteran whose love of the outdoors included caving, sea kayaking and

whale watching, white water rafting, hiking, and camping. His passion for

photography brought that world into our homes. He created Northlight

Photography in Boise and for many years enhanced the lives of others

with extraordinary photographic memories of life's special moments

before relocating to Whidbey Island, in Washington state. Joe lived his

life with passion. He was an avid reader. He loved people, telling jokes and stories, and

was quick with a hearty laugh. He knew the value of friendship and spoke of the magic of

nature, the laughter of love, the joy of wine by the fire, and the peace of true love - truly a

man we shall miss in our lives.
